| This viola is a meticulous reproduction from the golden period of Antonius Stradivarius. Hand crafted in every detail, from our study and modeling of Stradivarius violas, the creation of this viola started a generation ago with the selection of the finest high altitude Spruce and Maple. The wood was then air dried in the Mediterranean breezes for decades. The top is created from superior quality Spruce, and finely figured Maple is matched for the back, sides, and neck. Master crafted in the shop of Rigidio Riva, hand finished in every detail by Andrew Fein. The melding of this modeling, with fine work and excellent wood, results in a powerful viola with deep, rich, tones across the entire range of the instrument. An excellent instrument for soloists, chamber players, and fine orchestral players.
